A very exciting event will be taking place on Saturday morning. After 34 years, the Common Ground Food Co-op will open on Saturday, August 23 at 8AM to the public in downtown Urbana! All are welcome! You're invited! The stock looks fantastic and the deli looks inviting. On Saturday morning, the doors will open to a new era for the Co-op and for Urbana. Stop in to see and shop in the new store and see what the excitement's all about! Come in between 8-10AM before or after your trip to the Farmer's Market and they'll reward you with a 10% off coupon for your entire order! Beginning Saturday, the store will be open from 8AM-8PM every day. They are located in the old Berger's/Herberger's space on the east end of Lincoln Square -- adjacent to the Farmer's Market and accessible both from inside the mall (near Health Alliance), as well as from the outside, along the east end of Lincoln Square. Come shop for a magnificent array of produce, meat, eggs, dairy, and grains, grocery items, frozen foods, bulk items, health and beauty products, home cleaning products, and much more. Also, be sure to visit the Co-op's new deli! Open daily from 8AM-2PM, the deli will serve up some amazing, mouth-watering goodies made from local, organic ingredients: sandwiches, soups, salads, and more. Deli seating is available inside the mall and outside on the front patio. Membership is encouraged, but not necessary to shop at the Co-op.
